Getting to know Karns
Karns is one of those Knox County communities that predates the growth around it and kept its own name, school cluster and civic life while subdivisions filled in. The annual Karns Community Fair and the community club are long-running traditions, and the school campus along Oak Ridge Highway acts as the de-facto town center.
Housing spans the decades — established ranches on larger lots alongside newer subdivision construction — and the position between the Hardin Valley growth corridor and Oak Ridge keeps commutes practical in both directions.
